"Dried cassava chips" are raw materials used in various industries, such as animal feed, alcohol, and ethanol production. Currently, Thailand exports more than 6 million tons of cassava chips annually. The production process involves cleaning the raw cassava, cutting it into small pieces, and sun-drying them on a concrete floor for about 2-3 days until completely dry. Typically, exported cassava chips contain not less than 65% starch, no more than 5% fiber, no more than 14% moisture, and no more than 3% sand.
